Midway City Curb Ramps | Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Upgrades
PARTIAL LANE/ROAD CLOSURES AND SIDEWALK DETOURS WILL BE REQUIRED.
PROJECT SUMMARY
OC Public Works will be reconstructing the existing curb ramps at the corners of McFadden Avenue and Pacific Street in the unincorporated Orange County area of Midway City. The construction will upgrade the curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Sections of the cross gutter and spandrels adjacent to the curb ramps will also be repaired to improve drainage.
WHAT
Crews will be:
• Removing existing curb ramps and constructing new ADA compliant curb ramps
• Constructing new gutter sections and spandrels adjacent to the curb ramps
Closures/Detours:
As crew complete upgrades to curb ramps, partial lane/road closures and sidewalk detours will be required. Please observe all project signs.
Area motorists and other road users may experience delays when traveling through the project area during working hours. Traffic control measures, such as caution signs and flag personnel will be present for public safety.
WHEN
Anticipated Construction Duration
August 2022 — September 2022
Working Days/Hours:
Monday — Friday, 7 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.
The construction schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather and other factors.

Construction will take place at the the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Pacific Street in Midway City.
