FUTURE CHANGE IN INTERSECTION TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Existing Stop Signs to be replaced with new traffic signal system; Project will also include installation of other traffic management equipment.
WHERE
Intersection of Oso Parkway and Coto de Caza Drive/Bend Road
WHAT
Project phases:
- Underground utility work and installation of new fiber optic conduit (part of OC Public Works’ Traffic Management Center remote monitoring system)
- Asphalt and concrete restoration; upgrade of two curb ramps
(NOTE: 3-month period of no activity (Dec 2023—Feb 2024) due to anticipated timing of traffic signal poles delivery)
- Installation of traffic signal pole foundations, pole, signal lights and associated equipment
Attention: Be prepared for temporary closures!
- Intermittent lane closures to accommodate construction of curb ramps, sidewalk areas, traffic signal poles and underground conduit.
- Temporary sidewalk closure along east and west sides of Oso Parkway (not at same time) between Bridle Path and Coto de Caza Drive. Sidewalk closures expected to start as early as October 23, yet closures are temporary and will re-open daily at the conclusion of work. Sidewalk detour open along west side of Oso Parkway.
- Access to/from adjacent residential communities will remain open.
Your safety is the top priority! Large equipment will be used. Please observe all caution signs / barriers and stay a safe distance from the work area.

Monday — Friday, 7 a.m. — 3:30 p.m.
Lane closures will be limited during peak drive times to minimize impacts.
