TEMPORARY FULL ROAD CLOSURE: GILBERT STREET IN SOUTHWEST ANAHEIM (3 DAYS)
A full road closure of Gilbert Street (both directions) between Pacific Avenue and Pacific Place in Southwest Anaheim is needed to complete the installation of important safety devices at the railroad crossing.

WHAT
Crews will be installing railroad crossing protection devices to enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians and other roadway users. These activities are part of the overall Gilbert Street traffic signal installation project at the intersection of Gilbert Street and Pacific Place (immediately south of the railroad track).
TEMPORARY FULL CLOSURE OF GILBERT STREET AT RAILROAD CROSSING. USE ALTERNATE ROUTES:
WHAT WILL BE CLOSED?
- Gilbert Street (for both directions) at the railroad crossing. Drivers will not be able to cross the railroad crossing during this time (time shown on the right). Please use other routes.
- Pacific Place at its intersection with Gilbert Street. There will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to/from Pacific Place at Gilbert Street during this time. Pacific Place and adjacent neighborhood streets (and Walter Elementary School) can be accessed from Katella Avenue.
WHAT WILL REMAIN OPEN?
- Gilbert Street between Cerritos Avenue and the closure area (railroad crossing) and Gilbert Street between Katella Avenue and Pacific Place.
- Residents in other adjacent neighborhoods between Cerritos Avenue and Katella Avenue will be able to use Gilbert Street to access Harle Avenue, Pacific Avenue and Banta Avenue.
