OC Public Works staff and contractors will be performing geotechnical investigations at locations along the Santa Ana-Delhi Channel in the area shown below (see PDF file). The purpose is to investigate soil conditions along the channel in preparation for a future channel improvement project.
December 27, 2021—January 7, 2022, 8 a.m.—4 p.m.
Schedule may be adjusted due to weather delays.
Project personnel and small equipment will be present along the channel area. A drill rig will be used to collect soil samples at various locations within the future project area.
NOTE: Public access across the Bayview Trail pedestrian bridge will remain open.
This activity is in preparation for a future project to improve the Santa Ana-Delhi Channel to allow the continued flow of water through the channel.
