CURRENT STATS
- Construction is 70% complete with an anticipated completion date of December 2022.
- 20,000 linear feet of sheet piles installed! That’s 100% complete!
- 7,000 linear feet improved for seismic resilience! (73% complete.)
STEEL SHEET PILE FUN FACT
The Steel Sheet Piles installed are a marine grade steel, which is specified for providing corrosion resistance in saltwater environments. The region of discoloration you may observe is recognized as the “splash zone” which is wetted by tidal action. The steel reacts with the daily fluctuations of atmospheric exposure creating a weathered surface.
These structures are performing their corrosion resistance duties!
