Flood Control Channel Improvements | Fountain Valley Channel Maintenance Project
ANTICIPATE PARTIAL LANE CLOSURES / SIDEWALK DETOURS
PROJECT SUMMARY
OC Public Works will complete a channel maintenance project at the Fountain Valley Channel in the City of Huntington Beach. The project begins near the east end of Talbert Park and continues along the channel west to Bushard Street.
WHAT
Work includes removing and replacing the concrete vertical walls, removing and replacing the cable fencing, concrete patch repairs and regrading of the access road.
All work is within unincorporated County right of way and adjacent to the City of Huntington Beach.
Bushard Street will remain open at all times during construction; however, partial lane closures and sidewalk detours may be required. Area motorists and other road users may experience delays when traveling through the project area during working hours.
Please follow guidance posted on construction signs and directions from flag personnel near the project area.

July 11, 2022 — January 2023
Working Hours Mon. — Fri. | 7 a.m. — 5 p.m.
The construction schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather and other factors.
