Flood Control Channel Improvements
Barranca Channel Repair Project


PROJECT SUMMARY

OC Public Works will complete repairs along a segment of the Barranca Flood Control Channel (between Barranca Pkwy and Alton Pkwy) in the City of Irvine.

WHAT

Work includes placing riprap to protect earthen slopes from erosion. Dump trucks will be entering/exiting the channel throughout the project.
Businesses within close proximity to the flood control channel may experience a temporary increase in noise due to equipment and maintenance activities.

PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURES
Roads will remain open at all times during construction; however, partial lanes closures may be required.
Area motorists and other road users may experience delays when traveling in the project area during working hours.

June 19, 2023 — October 2023 

 

Working Hours

Monday — Friday | 7 a.m. — 5 p.m.
