Como Channel Structure Remodel
BIKEWAY/TRAIL DETOURS AND LANE CLOSURES REQUIRED (ALTERNATING LANES)
PROJECT OVERVIEW
OC Public Works will complete a remodel of Como Flood Channel bulkhead structures at Harvard Avenue in the Cities of Irvine and Tustin (adjacent to the Como Channel Trail and Walnut Trail).
WHAT
Project work includes removing the existing wood pile-lagging revetments and replacement with permanent steel soldier piles and plates on both sides of Harvard Avenue.
BIKEWAY/TRAIL DETOURS
Access to/from Peters Canyon Trail is available at Edinger Ave. or Harvard Community Park*.
LANE CLOSURES/DELAYS
Area motorists and road users may experience traffic delays when traveling through the project area during working hours. Flag personnel will guide traffic one direction at a time. Use of alternate routes is encouraged.
SORRY FOR THE NOISE
Residents and road users may experience loud construction noise and vibration when traveling through the project area during working hours.
