HUNTINGTON BEACH--The County of Orange's OC Public Works Department is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Marine View Middle School to discuss upcoming flood control improvements to the East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel. The school is located at 5682 Tilburg Drive in Huntington Beach.
The meeting will be held in the Multi Purpose Room (MPR) and OC Public Works staff will discuss several topics including updates on: regulatory permits, levee conditions downstream of Graham Street and between Graham St. and Warner Ave. Bridges, an engineering design features update and details (including recreational trail, tree removal, tree planting as screens, and channel improvements via environmentally- friendly construction methods), project construction phasing and schedule information, proposed construction access routes and temporary construction easements, and Emergency Operation Plans for the 2010-2011 Winter Season.
