County to Receive ASCE OC Branch “Project of the Year Award” for Alton Parkway Extension Project
SANTA ANA, CA- The Orange County Public Works Department, the City of Lake Forest and RBF will receive the prestigious American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) OC Branch Project of the Year award for the Alton Parkway Extension project this month. The ASCE OC Branch’s 2013 Annual Awards dinner will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Center Club 650 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa.
The Alton Parkway Extension project featured the construction of a 2.1 mile roadway that closed the gap in Alton Parkway. Construction on the project began on September 22, 2010 and was completed in June 2012.
This year, County has the honor of accepting the American Society of Civil Engineers Orange County Annual Award. ASCE OC Brach recognizes Orange County’s finest Civil Engineers and Projects.
